RE: My Yamaha shop Devoured

Thank you very much for your prayers and support !!! Our prayers were answered, very little damage to our home and our animals did very well in the storm. I had to stay at the Jail for 27 hours since I'm in support services. The whole time my family was fine but I still worried about them ( no cell phone contact and land lines were down) every minute. Everyone came through it very well. My kids place was without electricity for 5 days but all of this that happened to us is nothing compared to what everyone else on Galveston Island is going have to deal with. Well Thanks again for your support and prayers. I give thanks every day for what I have... Hawg out now....

RE: My Yamaha shop Devoured

This was actually the first time i bought from a person from ebay, in my defence i was thrown a back by the way they could just shoot a price through the roof in a two week time and then act as if that's the going price. I also buy from other business' like J and P cycles or JC Whitney because I can sit in my living room and order it either by order form or on the internet or simply pick up the phone and order (the old fashioned way). Right now I'm wishing i could order 6 hurricane proof dog houses and a house that won't blow down when good ol' IKE hits today or tonight.... My poor dogs are in for it, family is safe at a nice sterdy home (that doesn't alow animals) and me, well I'm stuck at work just waiting to be told when i may leave. Sometimes being the police sucks but most of the time I love my career... Well let me see what kinda paper work i can get started. I'll yack at ya'all later..... Hawg gone....

RE: My Yamaha shop Devoured

It seems that every time someone gets bigger in the bussiness they forget about the little man that got them where they are. It gets to where our budgets can't handle what they want us to pay.. Thank goodiness for the indy guys.

My Yamaha shop Devoured

This is pretty much just a b@#@h session because of what happened to my favorite bike shop. It used to be a Yamaha only dealership, then came Mancuso Speed whom buys them out and moves them further across town. Well if that weren't enough I went in to buy a Kruzer Kaddy that I was going to buy before they (Yamaha) went east. Well at the new place the fluid holder I was seeking just happened to go up in price by 20.00 in 2 weeks. The kid behind the counter says I can't sell ya one anyway because we don't have anymore "i sell them that fast" (at 55.00 a pop). Well not to me puppy boy. Just for the heck of it i called parts for a tire (ME 880) that i just purchased for 140.00, they told me the price was 200.00+. Man I guess when the small company gets swallowed by the bigger company the prices head skyward. I think I can get my indy to do some tire changes and continue to buy my stuff from other suppliers. Oh by the way I bought a brand new Kruzer Kaddy for 35.00 ship and hand included off of ebay. Well i gotta run I'm gonna be late for something I just can't remember what..... Ride on, Hawg out.:(:M:h

RE: Waving to other riders

I dido what arthurn said, don't give up on us Kklaus some folks just aren't quite up to stopping (too many back woods/side of the road horror stories i guess). I would have stopped, hell I even stop for the accasional killer kager if i see one that's in trouble. Oh by the way, with the go juice prices approaching "holly crap" stages. Alot of my friends and co-workers are getting the bike bug. Even my supervisor all 5'01" of her just did the MSF class and went out and baught a 2007 street glide. Maybe we'll be the majority one day......later ya'all and ride on, and safe..... hawgman

RE: Ridley mc

If you go to the website you can hear what it sounds like and get a onesided review. Since everyone has an oppinion and i would like one from several persons. Some people can't handle the complex changing of gears, so i'm asking for those folks, since i don't want to buy one to experience it. Drop me a line if ya know anything about it.... hawgman over.

RE: Advice needed about motorcycle tools

Look in the major bike parts mags, they usually have them laid out so you can see what's inside. They have a good idea what goes in a trip repaire kit. Don't forget a knife. I've found multi tools to be almost useless and too bulky. Everyone has pretty much everything covered as far as tools don't forget the emergency rain gear that fits in your back pocket..... If I think of any other tools that might not be too big and will help out I let ya know.

Ridley mc

The other day one of my co-workers and i were talking about motorcycles. He being the lazy person he is said "I won't ride one untill they make one that is automatic" I said well get your license to ride buddy cuz they do make one that is fully automatic. It's called a Ridley. With this we set out to find out where to find one of these bikes. Well the web sight is great and the bike sounds great. I have but one concern, are they as great as they advertise? They look good and the performance as stated by the reps is as good as a Harley Davidson, but I like reviews that are not paid for by the manufacturer..... Any one out there know anything about this scoot. If so share your knowledge, good or bad. Hawgman341 out........ :@

RE: Waving to other riders

RE: Waving to other riders

I guess I'm just lucky, the time I put them on they went straight from my daughters digital camera straight into the sight. Call it dumb techi luck I guess. I have to talk to hardkrome about those pipes, cuz they are starting to get rust spots on them. My old OEM parts hang on my fence in all kinds of weather and still don't have any rust.... I hope they'll replace them because I spent alot of money on them and also the retuning. I'll get back to that later .... Except for the wind it's a great day to ride... vrooooaamaamm. later on....Hawgman out.

RE: Waving to other riders

Man, I'm going on 30k and just replaced my front tire and gettin' ready replace my rear tire for the second time. I love my v-star. I just wish I'ld gone with the larger 1100 and fixed it up the same way I did this one. Who thinks this machine would benefit from a 6th gear? Man when I'm cruzin' at 75mph and the engine is humming I wish I had that 6th gear to let it rumble instead of hummmmmm..... By the way check my profile for the pix... A hint to those who don't like to pay the stealer for doing work on your scooter. I take the front and back wheels off when it's time to change and balance my tires and it costs me half the labor price. ( I don't have a tire balancer yet ). Ride on ya'all and stay safe. " watch that guy on the phone making a left turn in your lane "!!!!!... Adios..

RE: seized clutch

Hnigthawk, Don't you ride in the winter ? I don't think it snows in georgia all that much does it...? Try what Ride_Slow2004 said and warm it up, turn it off, rock it in gear and see if anything gives. Maybe some fresh lube might do the trick. I'm just not sure what to do.

RE: Waving to other riders

I WAVE TO "ALL" TWO WHEELED ACTION. I THINK IF SOMEONES GOT ENOUGH GROIN POWER TO GET ON TWO WHEELS AND RIDE IN THIS CRAZY WORLD OF "DON'T CARE CAGERS" THEN HELL YEH I'M GOING TO WAVE. I PREFER THE LOW DOWN TWO FINGER WAVE, OR THE LOW DOWN ALL FINGER WAVE. I DON'T CARE IF THEY WAVE BACK, CUZ I DID MY PART AND SHOWED MY SUPPORT THE OTHER RIDER. ( I DON'T LIKE THE UP HIGH WAVE, IT KINDA LOOKS GAYISH ). WAVE ON MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS ..... HAWGMAN OUT../...
